What is PRP ?

PRP therapy describes any application of PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, to benefit the body. PRP is used to heal and speed up recovery of injuries in the body, to rejuvenate and repair skin and to stimulate hair growth.

How does it work?

The PRP process is very quick. First, your blood is drawn into syringes. Then, it is placed into a centrifuge and spun to separate the blood from the plasma. This processing only takes 5 minutes.

Your blood is made up of four primary components: red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma and platelets. A centrifuge is then used to spin your blood to separate the platelets and plasma from the red and white blood cells. When the platelets in the plasma are concentrated, magic happens.
While this is happening, a numbing cream is applied to your skin for 15 minutes. Finally, the therapy itself only takes between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the size and number of the areas you are treating.

Minimal Preparation Is Required

During your initial consultation, we will provide you with a list of instructions. In general, there are only three small steps you need to be ready.
First, wear sunscreen whenever you go out for seven days before your treatment. Second, drink at least 64 ounces of water a day for the three days prior to your treatment. Finally, come to your appointment with a bare face. Do not wear makeup, moisturizer or any other skincare product. Remember, your face will be cleaned before treatment.
